Preliminary
LISREL model used to study Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) is more widely used in social fields. Software LISREL many uses syntax-syntax to perform data processing so it is more difficult to learn alone compared to other statistical software.

Why LISREL?

LISREL vs AMOS
1. In the case of pure ordinal data, Amos can not be used. Lisrel provides facilities to analyze if the data are purely ordinal.
2. Models with variables moderating usually interactions (Y = a b1X1 b2X1 B3X1X2) so that the indicator between the constructs of X1 and X2 must diinteraksikan indikatorkonstruk (multiplied) to form a construct of the moderator (X1X2). Amos program can not do this, lisrel able to overcome this by either the form of interaction between the indicator.
3. In the Amos case of abnormal data (violates the assumption of SEM), then the solution is done by boostraping. With sophisticated software does not need to change the data to be normal, but the test statistic that adjusts the data abnormalities. Lisrel able to change our data from Normal not be normal, etc..
